The Black Sheriffs Protective Association
(B.S.P.A.) is one of the oldest and most respected organizations within the Denver Sheriffs Department. We are
non-profit organization and commited to the development of the youth in our communities. B.S.P.A serves a purpose in
the further development and maintenance of professionalism in law enforcement. B.S.P.A. endeavors to address the concerns
of minority officers to preserve fairness and excellence within the Denver Sheriff Department. B.S.P.A. members volunteer
their time for public safety, assists in development of youths and strikes out racial degradation. B.S.P.A. maintains
communication with fellow Denver Sheriff Department personnel and the community, and works for the general welfare of the
community as a whole.
To establish and maintain community
outreach programs which emphasize education, cultural arts and social welfare activities with the intent of doing works of
public benefit and good without cost to the recipients of government without regard to race, creed, color, gender, national
origins or sexual preference.
One of the primary goals of the B.S.P.A. is to
serve the community. We are striving to make changes by touching the lives of those in need. We are proud of the
success we have had and look forward to an even greater future. Listed below are a few worthy accomplishments over the years:
